Yup, that pretty much means what it says. I've been digging like crazy these past weeks! We're coming to the end of a project, so everything that hasn't gotten done that has to be done means more intense work and longer days in order to get it done. The last couple weeks have been especially rough. But, I'm in the middle of a long Memorial Day weekend and life is good.

We have one more week on our project at Solomons, Maryland. We're going back to Antietam after that. Hopefully there will be better internet access there. I don't remember what it was like last time, but anything has to be better than what we've been getting at Solomons. I don't even bother trying with the internet there anymore. I've been spending my days internet free until I get home for the weekends...hence my prolonged absence from dA
This next week is our 11th and final week at Solomons. I'm expecting better internet access at Antietam, but I won't know 'til we get there.

Prolonged absense from internet aside, the project at Solomons has been wonderful. We haven't really found very much, but the area is amazing. It has entered my very short list of places I'd like to live. I love the wildlife, the people, the pace of the place itself. It's one of those sleepy water-front towns where I could sit on a porch and just rock my life away while watching all the Osprey eagles play (cheesy rhyme and all).

Good grief, I've never seen so many Osprey in all my life! Throw in Red Tail Hawks, Golden Eagles, and Bald Eagles and you've got a raptor bird-watching paradise! Though I really haven't seen any Golden Eagles; I might have just made that up.
